Wasn’t sure what colours to get for my younger brother as he embarked on his perler journey. With the amount of shades available, it was hard to know where to start, but this has a great mix of basic colours to get a feel for things.
For me, it’s worth it to pay a bit extra to get the sorted pack. I also purchased the neutral tray, which has lots of useful colours for shading and skin tone, the tweezers (which were so worth it!!), and the four pack of interlocking pegboards. This comes with small, shaped pegboards, but my brother needed the flexibility of the large square ones. I would recommend all of these for beginners, too.
